Policies
for the boat are as follows:
No
Illegal Drugs, No Narcotics Unless They are Prescribed to
You, No Weapons, No Firearms, No Explosives, No Bangsticks,
No intoxicated Persons, No Sexual Harassment, No Unruly or
Uncontrollable Persons, None Shall Harass or Prevent Any of
the Crew From Performing Their Duties or Carrying Out Orders
Issued By the Captain, No Hard Liquor, No Glass Bottles. The
Items Described Will Get You Detained By the Coast Guard and
Arrested By the Police and All Above Items Will End the Charter
With No Refund Given and No Rescheduling For Other Persons
In the Group.
All Charters
are booked on a first come, first serve basis. Do not wait
long to decide on your day. A $250.00 deposit is required
to reserve the day with the balance of the trip payable in
cash on the day of the trip before the boat leaves the dock.
NO EXCEPTIONS. Any chartered trip that can not sail due to
weather conditions will be rescheduled as conveniently as
possible. Only the captain will determine if the boat can
sail due to any weather conditions either actual or forecasted
by N.O.A.A. Unfortunately, sometimes weather forecasts are
extremely incorrect, and mistakes are made, and we apologize
for any inconveniences.
All cancellations
or rescheduling must be made 14 days prior to date
of departure of the trip, or the deposit will be lost if we
can not book another group. We will try our best to help you
if there is a problem, and we have not had enforce this policy
to date.
If there
is a problem with the boat, mechanical, staffing, or other,
we will refund your deposit immediately, reschedule at your
convenience to another available date, or put your group on
another comparable boat determined by the captain only at
no extra cost to you.
Any passenger
stealing, vandalizing, carelessly damaging the vessel, or
its equipment overboard the person that chartered the boat,
who is your contact person, will be held responsible and will
pay any and all cost to repair or replace the damages or stolen
property.
SCUBA
DIVING POLICY INFORMATION
- All
divers will be asked to show proof of a dive certification
and log book.
- All
divers are required to have a pony bottle or alternative
airsource.
- Dives
deeper than 80 ft require advanced open-water certification,
unless accompanied by divemaster or instructor.
- All
divers must enter and exit the water with a dive buddy.
- Nitrox
divers must show current certification card and have cylinders
clearly marked with Nitrox mix.
- Deco
gas for safety stop purposes, up to 100% Oxygen is allowed
but must be properly marked!
- Rebreathers
and tech equipment permitted.
- Dive
containers, crates and gear bags must be able to fit underneath
the gear benches. Exceptionally Large gear containers will
not be allowed aboard.
- Drinking
alcohol after diving is not recommended.
- Two-wreck
dives may include two separate wreck locations or two dives
at one wreck location.
- Scuba
diving is an adventure sport with risks subject to the divers
training, abilities, health and experience. It is the divers
responsibility to act in accordance with those skills when
determining their ability to dive on any given charter.
- Pirate
King II is transportation to and from the dive site and
a platform from which you will be conducting your dives.
All responsibility for your safety is your responsibility
upon exiting the vessel.
- All
divers must have a current Dive Accident Insurance Policy
in effect.
- Please
be aware that space on the boat is limited. Bring only the
gear necessary to safely conduct the dives you have planned.
- The
first two spots on the bench, at the stern of the boat,
are for the crew. Please leave those free.
- Audible
signaling device: Diver alert, or a storm safety whistle.
Both can be purchased at most dive stores.
- Lift
bag, or surface marker buoy, and a strobe light.
- If
weather prevents us from reaching the intended destination,
a substitute destination may be provided.
- If
you sign up for a trip, you are responsible for the fare,
even if you do not wish to make the dive at the substitute
destination.
